WHY EUNOIA?

Adaptive clothing should be designed the way you want.

Eunoia is built around thoughtful design, personalization, and clothing that feels beautiful to wear.

Eunoia

(noun)
/ yoo-NOY-uh /

1.Beautiful thinking.

2.A well mind.

3.One of the shortest English words containing all five vowels.

We are Eunoia, because thoughtful design begins with thoughtful thinking.  Beautiful clothing starts with beautiful thinking.

The Science Behind It

Grounded in research, not guesswork.

Every adaptive feature in Eunoia is informed by published research in movement disorders, occupational therapy, and geriatric care — and refined with the people it's designed for.

Weighted Hand Sleeves

Gentle wrist weight can reduce the visible amplitude of action tremors.

Peer-reviewed studies on wrist weighting in Parkinson's and essential tremor report meaningful reductions in tremor amplitude during everyday tasks like eating, writing, and pouring, without adding fatigue at low loads (typically 100–500g).

Informed by: Movement Disorders / Archives of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
Magnetic Closures

Hidden N52 magnets replace the fine-motor demand of buttons and zippers.

Occupational therapy research on adaptive dressing consistently identifies buttons, small zippers, and hooks as the highest-difficulty tasks for people with Parkinson's. Magnetic closures preserve the look of a normal placket while removing the pinch-grip requirement.

Informed by: American Journal of Occupational Therapy — adaptive dressing reviews
Posture Support

Soft elastic bands provide proprioceptive cues, not rigid bracing.

Camptocormia and stooped posture affect a large share of people living with Parkinson's. Light posterior cueing garments have been shown in pilot studies to increase upright time and reduce forward flexion without restricting movement.

Informed by: Parkinsonism & Related Disorders — postural cueing pilots
EVA Cushioning

Targeted padding at shoulders, elbows, and hips softens fall impact.

Falls are one of the most common and costly complications of Parkinson's. Closed-cell EVA foam is the same material used in certified hip protectors and sport padding — lightweight, breathable, and proven to attenuate impact energy.

Informed by: Journal of the American Geriatrics Society — hip protector meta-analyses
Research-informed

Every feature traces back to published clinical literature and systematic reviews.

Evidence-Based Design

Concept built upon established principles from Parkinson's research and occupational therapy studies.

Community Cooperation

Co-designed concept with people living with Parkinson's and their caregivers.

Eunoia is an adaptive apparel concept, not a medical device. Sources cited reflect the peer-reviewed research that informs each design decision; individual results vary and Eunoia does not treat, cure, or prevent disease.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I'm Kaleb.

I started Eunoia because I believe adaptive clothing should feel just as thoughtful, beautiful, and customizable as any other clothing, all without sacrificing essential function and accessibility.

This project is still in development, and every conversation helps shape where it goes next.
